CHESNEE, S.C. - Lynda Gayle Spakes Painter, 65, of Julie Court, Chesnee, died on Monday, July 06, 2015 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. A native of Spartanburg, she was born on October 17, 1949, a daughter of the late Johnny Spakes and Ethel Cartee Spakes Hamrick. She was a retired CNA and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Marion Spakes. She is survived by her sons, Danny Puckett and Randy Puckett, both of Chesnee; her sisters, Lois Puckett of Chesnee, Edith Wood of Spartanburg and Thelma Adair of Gaffney; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 09, 2015 at Hicks Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, July 08, 2015 at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service.
