Mr. Mack Brittain, 70, of 122-1 Wildlife Lane, Lawndale, NC, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Mr. Brittain was preceded in death by his parents, James Esley Brittain and Annie Mae Perry Brittain; and 1 brother, Dave Brittain.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Volena Cooper Brittain; 1 son, Tim Brittain and wife Kim of Cherryville, NC; 1 daughter, Kim Brittain Putnam of Cherryville, NC; 5 brothers, Paul Brittain of Milford, Pennsylvania, Bob Brittain and wife Mary of Shelby, and Jake Brittain, Randy Brittain and wife Betty, and Joey Brittain and wife Fonda, all of Cherryville, NC; 3 sisters, LaRue Boston of Cherryville, Fonda Rulapaugh and husband Dave of Simpsonville, SC, and Monte Leonhardt and financé James Byers of Dallas, NC; 1 grandson; 1 great-grandchild; extended family members; and lifetime friend, Charlie Neill.
