Madeline Elizabeth Wright Elliott
Madeline Elizabeth Wright Elliott, 94, of Jim Elliott Road, Shelby, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby.

Mrs. Elliott was born in Cleveland County on March 8, 1919 to the late Guy Anthony Wright and Amelia Ann Norman Wright.  She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and was retired from Cleveland Regional Medical
Center as a certified nursing assistant.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Woodrow Elliott; two sons, James Carroll Elliott and Joe Roger Elliott; four brothers, Cline Wright, Flavius Wright, Hubert Wright, and Reid Wright;
and four sisters, Arsie Warlick, Stella Sellers, Vangie Yarbrough, and Hildreth Cooke.

She is survived by a son, Jack Elliott and wife Janet of Shelby; granddaughter, Michele Elliott of Shelby; grandson, Christopher Elliott of Winston-Salem; great granddaughter, Madisen Cross of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Hull and husband Darrell of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Cleveland Pines Nursing Center as well as the Hospice Cleveland County and their staff for the love and care provided during her final years.
