Mamie Lois Hudson Brackett, 87, of Bostic, passed away Wednesday, January
28, 2015 at Hospice House of Rutherford County in Forest City.

Born February 16, 1927 Cleveland County, to the late John Hudson and Bessie
Hastings Hudson. She was retired from Drexel Furniture and was a member of
St. Paul Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, K.J.
Brackett; son, Dean Brackett; five brothers, Harvey, Coy, George, Ray and
Will Hudson; and six sisters, Flossie Foster, Mozelle Earl, Vangie Downs,
Dessie Smith, Lily Wortman and Marjorie McNeely.

Survivors include two sons, John H. Brackett, Sr. and wife, Carolyn of
Carolina Beach; Mark "Pete" Brackett and wife, Patricia(Pat); seven
daughters, Janie Brackett of Bostic, Susan Hunt of Glen Alpine, Tracy
Beheler of Bostic, Donna Brackett of Bostic, Rita Specht of Hickory, Libby
Martin of Morganton and Patsy Smith and husband, Alan of Morganton; sister,
Dollie Hull of Morganton; 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 14
great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home,
Fallston.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel,
Fallston

Burial: Will follow in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Casar
