Mrs. Margaret Ann McGinnis Powell, 72, of Gaffney, SC passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Gibbs Cancer Center in Spartanburg, SC. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Banner and Faye Glascoe McGinnis. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by a Son, William "Little Bill" Eugene Powell.
She is survived by her son Richard A. Powell and wife Becky of Mooresboro, NC and her daughter Elizabeth P. Peace and husband Talmadge of Mooresboro, NC; a sister Ardelle McGinnis Thompson and husband Glenn of Kings Mountain, NC. Two grandsons, Bryan Powell and wife Jaime and Jesse Powell. One great-grandson, Waylan. One nephew and one niece.
Family will receive friends Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Camps Creek Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm with Pastor Buddy Morehead officiating.
