Margaret Camp Dorsey age 89 died Monday May 12, 2014 at her home. Born in Rutherford County on June 24, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Jr.  and Nora Hamrick Camp. Margaret was an active member for 68 years at Eastside Baptist Church. She taught the 4 & 5 year old Sunday School Class up until a month ago. She sang in the choir and served on various committees. She retired from Printing and Packaging after forty years of service. Her life revolved around family and church.  In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Dorsey; four brothers and one sister.

Margaret is survived by a son, Barry Dorsey of Martinsville VA; a daughter, Jeanne Burks of Shelby; three grandchildren, Ginger Burks, Randy Burks and wife Jennifer, and Marty Burks and wife Katie; and two great grandchildren, Carter Burks and Luke Burks.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 3:00pm at Eastside Baptist   Church with Rev. Leland Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
