Margaret Ethel Brackett Short, of Casar, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at her
residence.
Born July 18, 1923 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Andrew Campbell Jackson Brackett and Ethel Whisnant Brackett. She was
retired from Cleveland Mills as a winder.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tilford
Richard Short; infant daughter, Baby Short; nine sisters and four brothers,
Helen Newton, Betty Jo Brackett, Mary Ann Nespola, Brenda Kay Seagle, Dessie
Carpenter, Leonia Pruett, Polly Doster, Irene Phillips, Willard Huitt, Roy
Landrum Brackett, William Ruffin Brackett, A.C. Brackett, Jr. and Carmie
Andrew Brackett.
Survivors include her son, Richard Jenkins Short and wife, Amanda of Casar;
sister, Evelyn Davis of Casar; three grandchildren, Trina Lynn Beighley and
husband, James, Robert Mathis Short and wife, Betsy and Tyson Short; four
great-grandchildren, Justin Taylor Tirado, Chloe Alexis Tirado, Kaitlyn
James and Michael King
