Born September 1, 1920 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Grover Mauney and Lona Harvey Mauney.  She was retired from Sweetree of Cherryville as a folder.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Bethany Sunday School class and Keenagers.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1^st husband, Edward Woodrow Dellinger; 2^nd husband, Willard Johnson; daughter, Dean Brooks Dellinger; grandson, Scott Dellinger; four brothers, Frank, Jim, Clyde and Glenn Mauney; and three sisters, Ruby Gantt, Vergie Heavner and Hazel Gantt.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, E.W. Dellinger of Cherryville; daughter, Sue Lackey and husband, Elwynn of Vale; brother, Hubert Mauney of Crouse; special friends, Faye Daves and Katherine Foster; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Cherryville.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Key and Rev. Ken Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in the City Memorial Cemetery.
