| Margaret Isabell Hamrick, 94, of Shelby, died on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Rufus Henry and Isabell Prue Beam Botts. She is also preceded in death by her husband Clifford Hamrick; three brothers, Fitzhugh Botts, James Botts and Henry Lee Botts; two sisters, Juanita Kara and Mary Elizabeth Royster. Mrs. Hamrick was a nursing assistant at Cleveland Memorial Hospital in Shelby and Broughton State Hospital in Morganton. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and served as Church Secretary in the late 1940’s.
Mrs. Hamrick is survived by her daughter, Patricia H. Webster and husband Jerry of Shelby; a granddaughter, Shawn Webster Taylor of Morganton; a grandson, Shea Webster and wife Shannon L. of Cherryville.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Tony Fulbright officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
