Margaret Runyans Tolbert, age 93 died Thursday May 19, 2016 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on October 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late John "Bun" and Mamie Sepaugh Runyans. Margaret was a lifelong member of New Hope Baptist Church where she previously taught Sunday school in the children's department, the GA's and the Acteens. She was also a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class. Margaret retired from Universal Manufacturing, as a supervisor, after a number of years of service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, C. T. Tolbert; three sisters, Olene Rippy Tulloh, Ruth Runyans Davidson, and her twin sister, Mary Runyans Poston; and a brother, John M. Runyans.

Margaret is survived by a son, Steve Tolbert and wife Gaye of Shelby; four grandchildren, Kevin Tolbert, Jamie Tolbert and wife Charity, Phillip Higginbotham and wife Nicole, and Allison Tolbert Thrift and husband Bryan; and seven great grandchildren, Laura Tolbert, Thomas Tolbert, Ryley Tolbert, Kasey Tolbert, Wylie Thrift, Merritt Higginbotham and Birdi Higginbotham.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Russ Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 2:00pm until 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.
