Cherryville - Mrs. Margaret Ruth Bishop, 73, of 5301 Dellinger Circle,
passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Carolina Care Health and
Rehabilitation in Cherryville.

Mrs. Bishop was born on June 11, 1944 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of
the late Ralph Brittain and Della Mae Costner Brittain and her stepmother,
the late Tincy Brittain. She was retired as a seamstress and was of the
Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy
Bishop.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Bean and husband,
Johnny of Cherryville; a stepdaughter, Dana Staton of Lincolnton; two
grandchildren, Johnny Wayne Bean, Jr. and Tiffany Leanne Bean all of
Cherryville and three step grandchildren, Tara, Jamie and Logan; a brother
Doyle Brittian and wife Kathryn of Cherryville and their children, Adam
Brittain of Lawndale; Doyle Brittain, Jr.; Jason Brittain and Faith Brittain
all of Cherryville.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 12:45 to 1:45PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel with the Rev.
Clayton Hudson officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville.
