Ellenboro - Margaret Skinner Green, (Peg, Shorty) 91, went to be with her Lord and her loved ones that were waiting for her with open arms on February 1, 2020. Heaven has received the gift of another beautiful angel. She was born June 24, 1928 to the late W. L. Skinner and Lilar Cole Skinner and step-mother Elsie Coxey Skinner. Mrs. Green was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She also volunteered at the Rutherford County Senior Center for 25 years which she enjoyed. Margaret was a life time member of Corinth Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dwight J. Green 4 brothers Cole L. Skinner, Darrell Skinner, Bobby Skinner and Charles Lee Skinner.

Survivors include her son Rickey Green and wife June of Ellenboro, one daughter Sheena Lynch of Ellenboro. She loved her grandchildren April Yelton, Crystal Penson, Lynn Brooks, Tiffani Lynch and Ryan Lynch. Her great grandchildren Hunter Yelton, Jacob Penson, Austin Pittman, Emma Penson, Ashlynn Brooks, Ayden Brooks and Brantlee (the babe) Keeter. Margaret was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to her visitation Monday, February 3, 2020 beginning at 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 3:00PM at Corinth Baptist Church 767 Pinehurst Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040 with Pastors Ad Hopper, Travis Laflin and Mike Conner officiating the service.

Her final resting place will be at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.
