Margaret Stroupe "Maggie" Fraley
 

Cherryville – Mrs. Margaret Stroupe “Maggie” Fraley, 92, of 131 Buck Fraley Road, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at her residence.

Maggie was born in Gaston County, NC on October 15, 1920 a daughter of the late Bedie Vandyke Stroupe. She gave of her time and talents and was an active member of First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her mother Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John L. “Buck” Fraley, Sr. in 2000 and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Blair Fraley in 1996.

Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law; Allen Rhyne Fraley and Susan, John L. Fraley, Jr. and Guyann all of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Zackary Fraley, Meg Peak and husband Hunter, Caroline and Mary Grace Fraley; a sister and best friend Lola S. Beam; niece, Caryl B. Austell; nephew, James L. Beam, III, all of Cherryville and a great grandson Parks Allen Peak and a special friend Iria.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County for their care and support.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 12:45 to 1:45PM at First United Methodist Church, Cherryville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, April, 29, 2013 at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Rick Fite and Leonard Bumgardner.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
