Margie Hoyle Vess, age 71, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on April 4, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Luther R. Hoyle and wife Hattie Abernathy Hoyle. Margie was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Lovelace and four brothers; Gene Hoyle, Gary Hoyle, Martin "Coleman" Hoyle and Billy Ray Hoyle.

Margie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Walter Vess Jr. of Cherryville, two sons, Joel Vess and wife Paula of Cherryville and Kerry Vess and wife Dena of Cherryville. Five sisters; Kathy Weaver of Cherryville, Linda Willis and husband Charles of Shelby, Ann Hord of Cherryville, Sue Thornburg and husband Dwan of Kings Mountain and Janet Helms and husband Michael of Cherryville, as well as one brother Don Hoyle of Cherryville and six grandchildren; Millie Ann Marie Vess, John Vess, Joe Vess, Oliver Vess, Levi Vess and Eli Vess.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Monday October 29, 2018 at Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Max Turner officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 pm until 2 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
