Mrs. Margie Lee Spangler Earwood, 73, of 123 E. Double Shoals Rd., Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010. Services were held at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, Fallston, NC. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
Mrs. Earwood was preceded in death by her parents, James Thurman Spangler and Alice Faye Jones Spangler.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John Paul Earwood; 1 brother, J.T. Spangler and wife Earlene of Hickory, NC; 1 sister, Janice Proctor and husband Nelson of Hickory, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Double Shoals Baptist Church, 318 Old Mill Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
