Marie Hoyle Cantrell

Mrs. Marie Hoyle Cantrell, 76, of 205 Kenwood Drive, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence White Proctor. She worked the cosmetic counter at Dillards and Belk for many years and was a longtime member of Westview Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Hoyle; and brothers Sam Jr. and Andrew Proctor.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her husband Lewis Cantrell of the home; two sons Frank Moody Hoyle and wife Myra of Shelby and Mike Hoyle and wife Nancy of Kings Mountain; 3 sisters Ruth Lytle of Polkville, Lilly Hamrick and husband Carroll of Fallston, and Linda Spencer and husband Terry of Lincolnton; 3 brothers Boyd Proctor of Washington state, Truman Proctor and wife Marsha of Casar, and Truett Proctor and wife Brenda of Shelby; 4 grandchildren John Hoyle of Shelby, Maria Hoyle of Shelby, Tripp Gault and wife Angie of Kings Mountain and Sam Hoyle of Kings Mountain; and one great granddaughter Cheyenne Gault.

SERVICES: Monday, 2pm, at Westview Baptist Church.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends, Sunday, from 5-6:30pm, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby.

CLERGY: Revs. Rick Bolin and Tony Tench.

BURIAL: Cleveland Memorial Park
