Gaffney -- Ms. Marie White, 98, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at her home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Redmond and Rose Etta Harris White. Marie previously worked for Hamrick Mills, she was the former owner of White Rose Florist, and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to attend Sunday School at her church, reading, and Gaffney Indian football.

Surviving Mrs. White are special relatives: Teresa Melton, Brenda Turner, Steve and Chastity Ramsey, and Mark and Melissa Sheppard.

A graveside service will he held on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 9:00 AM in the Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Shetley and Rev. Vernon Thornhill Jr. officiating.

The family will be at the residence.

The family would like to offer a special "Thank You" to Dr. Ezman, Lauretta Holcomb, and the staff Hospice Care of South Carolina.
