Marion Alonzo Putnam, 94, of 167 Sperling Drive, Shelby, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010. Services were held at New Prospect Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Mr. Putnam was preceded in death by his his wife, Ola Hamrick Putnam; his parents, Arthur Glen Putnam and Minnie Grigg Putnam; a son, Robert Putnam;one granddaughter; two brothers, Aurthur Lee Putnam and Jasper Putnam; and sister, Verlene Putnam Hamrick.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Dale Brackett of Shelby; two grandchildren; one grandchild and one great-great grandchild.
