Marjorie Greene Allen, age 92 died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Carolina Care in Cherryville. Born in Cleveland County on July 20, 1923 she was the daughter of the late, Forrest Claude and Lillie Bell Carswell Greene. Marjorie was an active member of First Baptist Church in Shelby where she enjoyed working with the children in the nursery. She was a Data Processing supervisor for over 24 years for M & J Financial. In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Allen and several brothers and sisters.

Marjorie is survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tony Tench officiating. A private burial will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service.
