Marjorie Mae Tessener Wilkie age 85, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice. Born in Rutherford County on June 21, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Charlie Lester and Dular Mae Causby Tessener. Marjorie was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she formerly served as treasurer and taught Sunday School Class. Marjorie spent a number of years in the Textile industry, working for various companies and retired from Dicey Mills. Marjorie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed puzzles and crocheting. In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Wilkie; a son, Edgar Wilkie; and two brothers, Crawford Tessener and Charlie Tessener.

Marjorie is survived by three sons, Leeroy Wilkie of Shelby, Jack Wilkie and wife Sherry of Lawndale, and Billy Wilkie and wife Linda of Waco; four daughters, Patsy Scism and husband Johnny of Casar, Donna Hill of Shelby, Nadine Towery of Mooresboro, and Dular Davis and husband Steve of Gastonia; a brother, Curtis Tessener of Shelby; two sisters, Buna Daniels and Paulette White both of Shelby; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday March 22, 2015 at 3:00pm at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Boone and Pastor Jackie Price officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Marjorie will be taken home, 3420 W. Stagecoach Trail, Shelby NC 28150, and friends are welcome to come see the family anytime on Saturday.
