Mars Ray Whitworth, age 54, of Helton Rd. died Saturday, July 5, 2014. He was born on July 15, 1959 in Cleveland County to the late Max Hugh and Frances Weaver Whitworth. He was a member of Arrowood Baptist Church and was in the carpentry business.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Whitworth of Shelby; sisters, Cindy Pruitt of Blacksburg, SC, and Tammie Fowler and husband, Earnest of Lawndale; grandsons, Brayden Lewis and Carson Whitworth; and an uncle, Wade Whitworth of Cherryville.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 12:00 PM at Arrowood Baptist Church with Rev. Hinkle Rayfield officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 AM at the church prior to the service. |
