Martha Blackburn Morrison, 85, of Shelby died Friday, July, 7, 2017. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Albert and Minnie McCluney Blackburn.

Mrs. Morrison graduated from Cool Springs High School and attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. She was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church in Shelby. In addition to her parents Martha was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Blackburn McBrayer.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Mitchel Morrison of the home and by one daughter, Sharon Morrison Kollmar, and her husband, Carl, of Spartanburg, SC, and one son, Charles Mitchell Morrison, of Shelby.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m on Monday, July 10th, at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Deborah Lesenger officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
