Martha Evelyn Hamrick age 86, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born in Cleveland County on July 17, 1928 she was the daughter of the late James Washington and Ruth Millicent Weathers Moore. Evelyn was a life-long member of Flint Hill Baptist Church. She was a hair dresser in her own shop "Evelyn's Kurl Korner". Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Marshall H. Hamrick; sister, Janie Sue Tessneer; and brother, Horace Lee Moore.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Marsha Merritt and husband Nelson of Shelby and her granddaughter Candace Sewell of Charlotte; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 4:00PM at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Kirby, Rev. Keith Dixon, and Rev. Eduardo Steibel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the Life Enrichment Center.
