Martha Kay Davis, 60, of Lincolnton, formerly of Shelby was taken home to be with the Lord and into the arms of her waiting family Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Catawba Valley Hospice House.
Ms. Davis was an officer with the Shelby Police Department for several years and an officer with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Force until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Albert (D.J.) Turner Jr.; her mother, Alfreda Crouse; stepfather, Gary Crouse; and father, Bruce Davis.
Survivors include her devoted and loving fiance, John Anderson of Lincolnton; brother Danny Davis and wife, Kathy, of Maiden; niece Shanna Setzer and husband, Roy of Lincolnton; great-niece Ashley Setzer of Lincolnton; great-nephew, Tyler Setzer of Lincolnton; and brother and sister in Christ and love David Anderson and wife, Sheila; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in the Lutz-Austell
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert L. Wiggins officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1 until 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
