Mrs. Martha Taylor Rhodes, 82, of Shelby died peacefully at home on February 7, 2011.  A native of Lexington County South Carolina, she was preceded in death by her parents John Quincy and Laurie Estella Hitte Taylor.  Mrs. Rhodes is also preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Carlton Rhodes.  Mrs. Rhodes was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her daughters, Theresa Rhodes of Rock Hill SC, Becky Swirniak husband Walter of Shelby NC, Ron Rhodes wife Roxanne of Huntersville NC, Gary Rhodes of Rock Hill SC; three grandchildren, Dana Burdick of Davidson NC, Allison Rhodes of Monroe NC, Michael Swirniak of Chicago IL; two great-grandchildren, Kayla Johnson of Monroe NC, Damon Burdick of Davidson, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC on Thursday, February 10, 2011.
