Martha Wright Cash, age 75, of Mountain View Drive, Forest City, died Monday, March 30, 2015 at her residence.
Born June 30, 1939, she was the widow, after fifty-six years of marriage, of the late Glenn Cash and a daughter of the late Hyden Wright and Dolores Kiser Wright. Martha was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1957 and worked in textiles for over forty years. Martha was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Marshall Cash and wife, Jan of Atkins, Virginia; two brothers, Gerald Wright and wife, Lucille of Rutherfordton and Norris Wright and wife, Sherry of Forest City; three sisters, Betty Roper of Gilkey, Jeanette Wallace and husband, Lewis of Rutherfordton and Sandra Brigman and husband, Thomas of Gilkey; grandson, Tyler Gene Bradley of Polk County; brother-in-law, Max Ray Cash and wife, Jane of Morganton.
A graveside service will be conducted at one o'clock on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. The body will lie in state from 8:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
