Blacksburg -- Marty Lane Ramsey, 51, of 551 Old Factory Road, passed away Sunday, January 28th, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Arnold Ramsey and Edna Allison Ramsey. Mr. Ramsey retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Plant and was a member of Encounter Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ramsey is survived by one son, Marcus Ramsey, of Gastonia, NC; one step-son, Kyle Blake and wife, Susie, of Kings Mountain, NC; one brother, Christopher Ramsey, of Blacksburg; and one sister, Pam Spencer and husband, JR, of Chesnee; and special friend, Teresa Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Ramsey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018, from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Cherokee Falls Missionary Fellowship Church, 207 First Street, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gregg Martin and Rev. Lucky Earls officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. 101 Mountain View Drive, Blacksburg, SC. J. R Spencer, Mike Martin, Ricky Love, Kevin Dixon, Christopher Ramsey, and Jerry Cooksey will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at 320 Upper Deal Street, Blacksburg, SC..
