Mary Ann Elliott, 85, 154 Crescent Way Circle, Blacksburg, SC, passed away June 4, 2015, at Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg, SC, after a short battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Carlton Wilson Elliott and a daughter of the late Frederick Moorehead Hoke and Ruth Vandiver Hoke. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She was a cosmetologist for 25 years and worked with the SC Department of Corrections for 15 years.
She is survived by three daughters - Laura Elliott Orr(Charles Phil, Jr.) of Gaffney, SC, Karen Elliott Addington(Thayer) and Lynn Elliott Walker(Gene) all of Blacksburg, SC; grandchildren - Brandon Joel Bridges(Sherri) of Blacksburg, SC, Nolan Hoke McDonald of Boiling Springs, SC, Megan Malone Walker of Blacksburg, SC and Elliott Evans Walker of CT; great-grandchild - Michael Brandon Bridges(Molly) of Blacksburg, SC; great-great grandchild - Cooper Bridges; sisters - Florence Vandiver Moore and Tedi Hoke Gibbons(Bill) all of Gaffney, SC; and one brother-in-law - Dewitt Elliott of Gaffney, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one brother-in-law - Thomas Elliott.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2:00 PM at Mt. Paran Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC. A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jay Clever officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home.
Pallbearers serving are Larry Elliott, Elliott Walker, Nolan McDonald, Brandon Bridges, Jackie Elliott and Michael Bridges.
