Mary Jane Hipps Izokovic, 82 of South Oak Drive, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born in Burke County, NC on January 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Horace Callaway Hipps and Mary Etta Newton Hipps. Mrs Izokovic was retired from J. Morgan Company and First National Bank. She loved butterflies and hummingbirds and loved watching football.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence John Izokovic; an infant daughter, Heidi Izokovic; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelli Izokovic Smith and husband Mike of Shelby; two sons, Larry Izokovic, Jr. and wife Pam of Huntersville and Kyle Izokovic and wife Valerie of Shelby; 5 sisters, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Rose Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dustin Mace officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.
