Mary was born January 2, 1958 in Rutherford County to the late Pink Bright and Peggy Lou Griffin Bright.  She worked in textiles most of her life and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She attended Hicks Grove Baptist Church. 

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Cardell Bright, Walter Bright and one sister, Berthie Griffin.

     Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Randy Turner; one daughter, Danielle Turner of Mooresboro; one son, Brian Turner and wife, Chris of Mayo, SC; four sisters, Marie Ledford and husband, Larry of Henrietta, Minnie Dean Brown of Forest City, Faye Tallent of Spindale and Louise Harris and husband, Paul of Morganton; two brothers, James Bright of Forest City and Odell Bright of Spindale. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Haleigh Anderson and Tyler Turner.

     Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Randy Shields officiating.  Interment will follow in Hicks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
