Mary Julia Pollock Plonk, age 91, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died March 5, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born in Kings Mountain, NC to the late Thomas Alexander Pollock and Linnie Cudd Pollock. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Samuel Plonk, Jr. She was a charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Kings Mtn. NC where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Plonk was a homemaker, farmer's wife, and teacher with Kings Mountain District Schools. She taught first grade at West Elementary, Kings Mtn. NC.

Kenneth Plonk, Columbia, SC; Michael S. Plonk and wife Sue, Rock Hill, SC;Steven Plonk and wife Susan, W. Columbia, SC;

Richard S. Plonk, Kings Mtn. NC; Daughter: Judith Plonk Davis and husband Steve, Lakeland, FL; 17 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Resurrection Lutheran Church, Friday, March 13, 2015; 2:00 P.M. Rev. Mike Varn, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, March 12, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday, March 13, 2015.

INTERMENT: St. Luke Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
