SHELBY- Mrs. Mary Lynn Moore Geymont, 81, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Brian Center in Hendersonville. A native of Blount County, TN, she was born November 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Byron “Barney” and Lela Harmon Moore. She loved to travel and enjoyed skiing. She was a retired social worker for Cleveland County Social Services where she was the Coordinator for “Meals on Wheels”. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the Bayliss Sunday School Class.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Don Geymont, her brother-in-law, Robert Merritt, and a close friend, Speedy Hoyle.

SURVIVED: She is survived by one sister, Jackie Merritt of Knoxville TN.; many nieces and nephews; her very close friends Ruby Hoyle, and Howard and Anne Shuford who is also members of her Sunday School Class.

SERVICES: A celebration of life service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Shelby Chapel.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

CLERGY: Rev. Wayne Allen and Rev. Hayward Morrison

BURIAL: Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
