Mary Margaret Weatherford Peeler, 90, of 301 Martin Street Lawndale, died Friday December 9, 2011 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

Born May 21, 1921 in Darlington County SC, she was a daughter of the late James Matthew Weatherford and Viola Atkinson Weatherford. She was a homemaker and a life long member of Polkville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Osnie Peeler, two sons-in-law Steven Luckadoo and Steve McWhirter, six brothers, Hallie, Wilbert, Glease, Leslie, Charles, & Bud Weatherford, and four sisters, Lois Swink, Gladies Mode, Frances Perry, and an infant sister.

Survivors include four sons, Don Peeler & wife Sue of Lawndale, Bob Peeler & wife Betty of Ellenboro, Hugh Peeler & wife Jean of Boiling Springs, and Steve Peeler & wife Barbra of Polkville, three daughters, Derema Luckadoo of Casar, Shirley McWhirter of Lattimore, and Kathy Davis & husband JR of Lawndale, one sister, Mary Helen Pruett & husband Bill of Casar, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Stamey Funeral Home Monday, December 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00PM.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 3:00PM at Polkville Baptist Church with the Revs. Rick Hamrick, Michael Shumate, and Doug Pruett officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
