Mary Pauline Melton Stallings, 82 of 3463 NC Hwy 226, Bostic, NC, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on October 25, 1931, in Rutherford, NC, to the late Paul Kenneth Melton and Macie Irene Melton.  She worked for Haven in the Hills Nursing Home and Drexel Furniture.  Mrs. Stallings was a member of Golden Valley United Methodist Church.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Jerry" Preston Stallings; infant daughter; two brothers, Kenneth Melton and Bill Melton and two sisters, Doris Davis and Hester Bowen.

Survivors include a sister, Shirley Bowen of Shelby; and a number nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m.  Monday at Golden Valley United Methodist Church.
