Mary Roper Pearson, age 80, of Kings Mountain, passed peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 26, 1934, Mary was a native of Kings Mountain, daughter of the late Mamie King Roper and William Ivy Roper. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters Lorena Roper Falls and Ivery Roper Nolen, two brothers, Horace Nelson Roper and William Ivy Roper, Jr. and her beloved grandson, Richard “Clark” Stowe, Jr. She was a homemaker and attended Christ Worship Center and loved her church family dearly. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family and loved spending time with them.
