Mary Suthell Walker, 90, of Spindale, died Wednesday, October 31, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Hobert and Dolly Flynn Walker. Suthell was a missionary for the Baptist State Convention, serving on several mission fields. She was also a former WMU Director for the NC Baptist State Convention. Suthell was a member of Spencer Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU and the Spencer Kitchen Band.
Suthell is survived by her brother, John H. Walker of Rutherfordton, and a number of cousins.
Memorial Services will be held 3 PM Sunday, November 4 at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Billy E. Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center of the church.
