Mary Ruth Ware Gibbons, 92 of Kings Mountain died on May 1, 2013 at White Oak Manor of Shelby in room 37C.

She was born on October 7, 1920 in Cleveland County.

She was a life long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.

As Jesus took her hand she is now with all those who went on before her. Her parents Rufus Alexander and Hattie Dellinger Ware, her husband David Guy Gibbons. her brothers Frank, Clyde, and Fred Ware, her sisters Florence White and Ethel Kiser, her children, Katherine Willis, Tony Gibbons and son in law Jerry Hall.

She is survived by her children, Elaine Hall of Paoli, Indiana, Roland Gibbons and his wife Debbie of Fallston, Bruce Gibbons of Kings Mountain and his friend Betty Whiten of Blacksburg, SC, Randy Gibbons and his wife Rita of Kings Mountain, Gary Gibbons and his wife Helen of Shelby, her sister Sue Lewis and her husband Earl of Fallston and special friends of Mama Mary, Judy Ledbetter, Barbara Hunter and Carolyn Dillard of Shelby and numerous grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church on May 4 at 11:00 with family receiving friends one hour before the service in the church.

Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
