KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mary Worthen, 92, passed away Saturday October 8, 2016 at Hospice At Wendover. A native of Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Tate and Omie Grier Leonard.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Worthen.

SURVIVED: She is survived by one son, Steve Murphy and wife Martha of Myrtle Beach, SC; two Grandsons, Steven Murphy and wife Donna and Jason Murphy and wife Jamie; three Great grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan, and Grayson Murphy.

SERVICES: A graveside service will be held, 11:15 am, Monday at Mountain Rest Cemetery

VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 10-11 am Monday at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.

CLERGY: Rev. Matt Lewis will officiate

INTERNMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery
