Mattie Lee Wylie, 81, 721 W. Smith Street, Gaffney, and formerly of Blacksburg, died March 22, 2016, at Mary Black of Gaffney. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lottie Mae Wylie Richards She was born in Cherokee County. She was retired from Champion Textiles.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers - Eugene "Gene" Richards, Luther Richards, Maurice Richards, C. G. Richards, William 'Bud" Wylie and Lester Wylie.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8:00 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service. A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016, 3:00 PM, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Blacksburg, with Rev. Rick Taylor officiating. At other times, they will be at the home of her niece, Loretta Coker, at 721 W. Smith Street, Gaffney, SC.
Pallbearers serving are Aaron Coker, Austin Varnadore, Bobby Manning, Michael Wylie, Jordan Wylie and Preston Wylie.
White Columns of Blacksburg is serving the Wylie Family.
