Mrs. Mattie Owens Newton Kirby, 88, of Huntersville, NC, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010. Services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Howard Newton; her 2nd husband, Arthur W. Kirby; her parents, Willy D. and Nancy Louise Owens; 2 brothers, Fay Owens and Ambrose Owens; and 2 sisters, Ella Dobbins and Ora Allen.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Mitcham and husband Ronnie, Rebecca Sisk, and Trudy Bagwell and husband Von; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
