Maudie Mazell McNeilly Lail, 83, of 6162 Wards Gap Road, Casar, died Friday,
April 29, 2011 at Hospice of Rutherford County.
Born March 17, 1928 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
William Andrew "Bill" McNeilly and Maudie Victoria Earwood McNeilly. She
was a homemaker. Mrs. Lail was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In additon to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie
Morning Lail; son, Ralph Lail; daughter, Margaret Ward; two brothers,
Stanley and Andrew McNeilly; three sisters, Dora Tallent, Flora Lowery and
Lois Wright; and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Lail and wife, Nadine of Casar, Dennis
Lail of Rutherford County, Ronnie Lail of Forest City, and Ernest Lail and
wife, Arlene of Casar; daughter, Kathy Owens and husband, David of Casar;
son-in-law, Charles Ward; brother, Forest McNeilly of Casar; eight
grandchildren, Sharon Brackett, Melissa Kerstetter, Greg Lail, Ryan Lail,
Jennifer Swofford, J.R. Lail, Matt Lail and Donna Lail; and 13
great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Makayla, D.J., Charis, Mariah, Hannah, Noah,
Bradley, Issac, Dylan, Katence, Cassie, and Ava.
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston. A
guest register is available at www.stameyfuneralhome.com.
Funeral Service: 4:00 pm, Sunday at Corinth Baptist Church, Casar. The
body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
