Maxine Prince Goforth

Maxine Prince Goforth, 79, of Cliffside entered in her heavenly home on Thursday, August 8th, 2019 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

Maxine was born November 23, 1939 in Green Creek, NC to the late Glenn and Mary Sue Prince. She was a graduate of Chesnee High
School and worked for Cone Mills of Cliffside for well over 20 years.
She was a faithful member of Cliffside Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and an amazing grandmother. She spent many
hours reading her Bible, doing puzzles, and watching UNC basketball. Maxine loved her family, especially her grandsons and granddaughter. She has a left a legacy that will carry through many generations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Prince of Green Creek. Those left to cherish her memories are
her long time husband of 56 years, Roy Lee Goforth, of Cliffside.
Also, her two daughters, Kim Goforth of Cliffside and Teresa Cranfill along with husband, Terry Cranfill, of Lexington, NC. Finally, she had three special grandchildren; Tanner, Taylor, and Terryn Cranfill of Lexington.

The family will receive friends, Sunday, August 11 th at Cliffside Baptist Church from 1 :30 to 2:45. The funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Mike Elgin, Pastor Avery Varnadore and Mr. Taylor Cranfill officiating. Burial will follow in the Cliffiside Cemetery.
