Mr. McHoyt Fraser, 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Services were held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Fraser served our country in the U.S. Army Corp. during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mel Charles and Woodie Pearl Waters Fraser; 1 sister, Doris Putnam; and 2 brothers, Clyde Fraser and Meldean Fraser.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Nellie Irene Ellis Fraser of Shelby; 1 daughter, Donice Irene Fraser Humphries of Shelby; 1 son, Hoyt Steve Fraser of Shelby; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Ruby Bailey of Cliffside, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mount Sinai Baptist Church or to: The American Cancer Society.
