Blacksburg -- Melissa Jeannette Heath, 23, of 228 Jones Street, passed away Friday, March 23rd, 2018, at her home.

Born in Gastonia, she was the daughter of Darrell Wayne Crisp and Michele Heath and was a member of Faith Mission Ministries and the Gastonia Women of the Moose #1536.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Heath is survived by her grandmother, Kay Ann York, of the home; an uncle, Samuel Shortt Stevens and wife, Crystal; cousins, Jacob and Nathan, and Mandy Nelms and husband, Josh; and other extended family.

Ms. Heath was preceded in death by her uncle, Mike Shortt.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at 11:30 am in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dan Lee officiating. The family will receive friends at their home immediately following the service.
