Mrs. Melvina Turner, 69, of 110 Immanuel Church Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Services were held at Casar Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Turner; 1 brother; and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bobby Downs of the home; 3 sons, Mark Grayson and fiancé Tabby of Casar, Chris Grayson and wife Donna of Mooresboro, NC, and Danny Grayson and wife Kelly of Grover; 1 daughter, Loretta Cash and husband Danny of Spartanburg; 3 sisters, Lil Sis, Elizabeth, and Betty Jean; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Fonda Grayson.
