Melvyn Ronnie Tessnear, 74, of 263 Oak Grove Road, passed away Monday, January 2nd, 2017, at his residence.

Born in Asheville, NC, he was the husband of Angelia Williams Tessnear and the son of the late Herbert Tessnear and Lucy Turner Tessnear. Mr. Tessnear worked in textiles and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Howard Hughey and wife, Summer, of Gaffney; and two daughters, Kelly Cowart and Tammy Byars, both of Union; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 4th, 2017, at 3:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery, 241 Oak Grove Road, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Grady Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends immediately follow the service.

The family will be at the residence.
