Merle Lail Dixon
MOORESBORO - Merle Lail Dixon, 76, of Trinity Church Road, Rutherford County, died on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on May 14, 1938, a daughter of the late Criss W. And Genelle Teague Lail; She retired from Forest City Elementary School as a Teacher’s Assistant. She was a very active member of Race Path Baptist Church where she worked with the Homebound and various other committees. She was also very active in community breast cancer awareness.
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ken Lail, Buck Lail, and Ned Lail; one sister, Beth Williams. She is survived by her husband, Hubert Dixon; two daughters, Kristi Revis and husband Terry of Mt. Holly and Kelli Lee and husband Eugene of Ellenboro; her brothers, Max Lail of Nashville, NC, Ronald Lail, Ray Lail, and Mike Lail, all of Mooresboro, and Joe Lail of Cliffside; her grandchildren, Samantha King, Megan Lee, Jordan Jennings, and Riley Jennings; her great grandson, Colron King.
 
A Celebration of Mrs. Dixon’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Race Path Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. John Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Race Path Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday in the church sanctuary.
