Gaffney - Michael Allen Culbertson, 64, passed away at his residence on February 16, 2026. Born on August 12, 1961, in Blacksburg, SC, Mike was the son of the late Lottie Martin Blanton and the late William "Bill" Culbertson. Mike was an avid golfer and loved to scuba-dive, especially with his children.

Mike was a graduate of Blacksburg High School, Class of 1979, and was a standout football player for the Blacksburg Wildcats. He was a member of the 1976 State Championship football team. Mike was very proud of his sons, Adam and Chris, and his grandson Sawyer, for all of their football accomplishments. He was an excellent welder and spent most of his career at Sanders Brothers in Gaffney where he met the love of his life, Angela Blackstone Culbertson.

Mike is survived by his four children, Adam Culbertson, and wife, Tiffany, of Mount Pleasant, SC, Chris Culbertson and fiancé, Jenny, of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, Jordan Culbertson, and wife, Keri, of Blacksburg, and daughter, Taylor Culbertson, of Greenville. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Brayton, Bowen, Baxley, Bennett, Savannah, Adeline, Lidi, Sawyer, Scotlynn Zoey, Sophia, Sedric Titus, and Ainsleigh; and his siblings, Rita Culbertson and husband, Mark, and Steve Culbertson, both of Blacksburg, and Shannon Culbertson and wife, Amy, of Travelers Rest, SC, and a special niece and nephew, Brittany Nichols and Chase Blanton.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Culbertson, and his sister, Kim Culbertson.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Blakely Funeral Home in Gaffney. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm at Blakely Funeral Home. There will be a private service for family members only following these services.
