Michael Dale Head Sr., age 64, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center. Born on February 26, 1952 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Bobby Head Jr. and Annette Lankford Head. Mike was a CNC operator for Eaton Corporation, before he became disabled. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family, grandchildren and special friend Max Terry. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by a sister Gwen Ellis.

Mike is survived by two sons, Michael Dale Head Jr. and wife Jennifer of Connelly Springs, NC; B.J. Head of Marion, NC; a daughter Amanda Sellers and husband Al of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; one brother, Bill Head and wife Judy of Earl, NC; two sisters, Kathy Williams and husband Ronnie; and Renee Sisk both of Shelby; seven grandchildren, Wyatt and Holly Head; Conner, Chase, Cameron, Lillie and Isabella Sellers; numerous nieces and nephews; two special friends Max Terry and Marilyn Bartee.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, with Pastor Stan Webb officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Kathy and Ronnie Williams.
