Michael David Marks, 36, of Sunset Memorial Road, Forest City, died on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of Glenville, West Virginia, he was born on February 22, 1977, a son of the late David Les Marks and Jacquelyn Smith Marks of Rutherfordton. Michael was a Printer with Plastic Packaging and loved spending time with his family and children.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Chellen E. Blanton; two sons, Brandon Charles Blanton and Jaiden Xavior Marks, both of the home; two brothers, Thomas Langley, II and Kreig Langley, both of Rutherfordton.
A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with The Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
